The Jubilee Trust
The Jubilee Trust is a registered charity instigated in 1981 and set up in 1982 to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Parish. It is a charitable fund which aims to raise money within the parish of the Most Sacred Heart and use it to help alleviate poverty, support those living with health difficulties or are elderly. The Jubilee Trust is administered by trustees who are dedicated to charitable goals. To be a valid charitable trust, the Sacred heart Jubilee Trust must demonstrate both a charitable purpose and a public benefit.
Aims
The aims of the Jubilee Trust are:
- to spread Christian Religion.
- to alleviate poverty
- to offer relief to the sick and the elderly
How do I get involved?
We urgently need volunteers, please contact one of the Trustees or email mshjubileetrust@rcdow.org.uk if you are able to help in any capacity or if you require any further information.
The following volunteer roles are vacant and help from parishioners is urgently requested:
Trustees
Role – to administer the charity, raise awareness of the Trust and organise fundraising events.
Distribute funds within the ethos of the Trust
Term of office – up to 5 years
Commitment – 4 Trustee meetings a year plus fundraising events.
Event volunteers
Role – to support the organisation and delivery of fundraising events
Commitment – as little as one event. Or more if you wish
How do we raise our funds?
While our primary fundraising is through the Lottery and the First Friday Lunches, various social events are held during the year. These have recently included Bingo evenings and dances. Any money raised is donated to a variety of good causes that have either approached the Priest or the Parish Team for assistance or have come to the attention of the Trustees.

TRUSTEES
Ann-Maria Loughman
Ann-Maria feels very privileged to be a Trustee of The Jubilee Trust especially as it serves a cause that has been close to her heart, helping those who are living with poverty, illness or disability. Ann-Maria spent most of her working life in Social Security and has seen first-hand the impact and effect poverty and poor health has on individuals and families. Through the Jubilee Trust they try to offer a hand to others who are in need, help our neighbours near or far and share our good fortune. Ann-Maria enjoys organising social events, seeing the parish come together that raises money to benefits others.
Ann-Maria has been in the Parish for over 40 years and involved with the Jubilee Trust on and off since 2005. She is on her second term as a Trustee.
Charlie Crowley
Charlie is a business analyst who worked on IT projects developing asset management and bank accounting systems. His career spanning over 40 years designing and delivering new system solutions for leading investment banks mainly in the City of London. Charlie has recently retired.
Originally from Co. Cork, Charlie moved to London while in his late teens. He is married to Geraldine with two grown up children and his family has been part of the Sacred Heart Parish for over 25 years. He joined the Jubilee Trust in April 2014.
Derek Bond
Derek is retired, he worked for many years as an accountant for different companies, he is currently treasurer and trustee for the Jubilee Trust.
He was brought up near Ladbroke Grove, his parish church was St Pius X in Saint Charles square. He brought up his family in South Ruislip, where they were members of Saint Gregory’s church. In 2002 they moved to Eastcote and they became member of The Most Sacred Heart parish. He has been an active member of the Folk group and the Choir for many years.
He is very pleased to be able to give time and energy to such a valuable cause as the Jubilee Trust, he especially like the fact that we are able to provide help to people at a local level, as well as to international charities. He also believe that the fund raising events are not only very enjoyable, but are also important in the development of parish community life.
